“We all have our own unique scars, visible or not, and they tell a story of where we’ve been, what we’ve endured, and how we’ve grown and healed from that trauma.”

Cicatrize (2023)
When we are hurt, our bodies heal by rebuilding what was lost. This new scar is different from what was there before, but beautiful in its own right. We all have our own unique scars, visible or not, and they tell a story of where we’ve been, what we’ve endured, and how we’ve grown and healed from that trauma. Cicatrize is a representation of the artist’s healing, and how beauty can be found in suffering. With each stitch, gather and tuck, they allow themself to explore and process the trauma that has changed them in so many ways.
